Shortcut: Share iOS Calendar Events

This is the quickest "application/program" I have created to solve something tedious I bump into occasionally.

None asks for someone else email nowadays 😒

Context

🔴 If you are an "iOS Calendar" user and want to share an event with anyone, you need their email address 😖. Most people only have their phone numbers, WhatsApp, Telegram, Linkedin, etc.

🔴 If you received calendar events from anyone, those are usually a file that looks like this:

When you tap on them, your phone can display the information 😃, but there is no "Save to my calendar" button 😖

Solution

📫 Share calendar event Shortcut

📪 Save the event to my calendar Shortcut

1. Trigger the shortcut from the Shortcuts app or any widget you might have created.

2. Export/Convert (Save to my calendar) ICS file formats

3. Share your calendar events with anyone using email, phone, or instant messaging.
